FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

At The Doggie Paddle, we offer fun activities at our dog swimming pool in Oshkosh, WI. Many of our clients love to know more about our company and business. Below, we provide answers to the most frequently asked questions related to our activity.

  • Who is the Partner in Paddle with a Partner? Can I go to the pool with my dog?

The Partner is a Staff member from the Doggie Paddle. See the Partners page above to find out more about us. Owners cannot enter the pool, so a Partner will go in the pool and help your dog.

  • What is the price for 2 or more dogs?

We don't charge per dog and do not limit dogs during a session. We do have a CHAOS limit. This is when dogs run a higher risk for injury, bad habits, or facility damage. Staff may recommend that dogs either take turns jumping or time in the pool if they feel it is in the dog's best interest.

  • What is a Jump Paddle Session?

A Jump Paddle Session is when the dock is raised to regulation height (24inches above the water). We do this every other Sunday and Monday. The specific dates will show up when you book a paddle under Jump Paddle.

  • How long are the sessions, and how early should I arrive?

We reserve a total of 30 minutes of pool time. 25 minutes are spent in the pool, and the last 5 are for rinsing and drying. We ask that you are 5-10 minutes early for your session.

  • Do you have a rinsing/drying area?

We do have a professional grooming tub and velocity dog dryer that you can use. We ask that you bring towels with you to speed up the drying process or for dogs who may be sensitive to the noise.

  • What should I bring with me?

Dog: Towels, a 4-6 ft. leash, a favorite toy or two that floats, and a lifejacket (if you have one), treats (we try to limit treat use in the pool for sanitary reasons, but some dogs will be more willing to go in with them)

Human: A change of clothes (although we do not allow owners in the pool, pups love to shake off all their water onto their people, and you will get soaked!). Rain Pants work great too!!

  • Are there other dogs in the pool during my Paddle?

When you reserve your Padddle Time the pool is yours.  There are no other dogs scheduled for your time.  We do ask that you come in first without your dog to make sure the lobby is clear of a departing dog.  Your dog may be good with other dogs but not all are so please respect everyones space.
